Frequently Asked Questions

How much does it cost? The cost of the conversion depends on the components and functionality you want included. Prices for popular combinations are listed under the Pricing link.

How long does it take for the drive train conversion? It will take about a month to acquire the parts, and about 4 - 6 weeks to perform the conversion. Of course, your car does not need to be here until the parts are here and ready to go.

How long does it take for the SOLBRA body kit to be installed? You should allow about three weeks, depending on how much paint work needs to be done.

Is there a warranty? We use new GM crate engines that GM currently warrants for 24 months or 80,000 kilometers. Other purchased parts such as the Griffin radiator carry a 12 month warranty. Parts fabricated by Wade's Garage in-house have a 12 month warranty. Of course, all warranties are limited to 'normal' use and proper maintenance. Damage due to negligence, alteration, accident, improper use, or any use related to racing or competition is not covered by GM, Griffin, or Wade's Garage.

Does the conversion hurt the handling? No. On my LS7 car, the weight of the car increased by only 200 pounds. Perhaps surprisingly, the front-rear weight ratio actually improved. Before the conversion, the car had 53% of its weight on the front wheels and 47% at the rear. After the conversion, it is 52% front, 48% rear.
